North Shore Assessment, Inc. provides comprehensive neuropsychological and educational evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults across the North Shore, Greater Boston, and surrounding communities.

Every evaluation is conducted personally by Dr. Wilson, individualized to the client's needs, and results in a detailed written report with specific, actionable recommendations for school, home, and outpatient treatment.

Types of Evaluations/Services
 
Neuropsychological and Educational Evaluation: A comprehensive assessment of cognitive and brain-behavior functioning, including attention, memory, processing speed, executive function, language, and learning. Includes tests of academic achievement in reading, writing, and mathematics. Typically recommended when the diagnostic picture is complex or multiple areas of concern are present.
 
Psychoeducational Evaluation: Focuses on academic achievement, cognitive ability, and the relationship between the two. Often used to identify learning disabilities (including dyslexia), support school accommodations, or evaluate for an IEP or 504 plan.
 
Psychological Evaluation: Assesses emotional, behavioral, and personality functioning. Appropriate when a primary concern involves mood, anxiety, behavior, or social-emotional development.
 
Intellectual Evaluation: A targeted assessment of cognitive ability and intellectual functioning, used when questions about intellectual disability or giftedness are the primary focus or when IQ testing is needed for school admissions.
 
Evaluations for Testing Accommodations: Neuropsychological and educational evaluations include necessary documentation to support requests for extended time, reduced distraction environments, and other accommodations for standardized tests (SAT, ACT, MCAS, graduate and professional licensing exams).

School Consultation: Consultation services include reviewing previous school-based evaluations, educaitonal records, and IEP's and offering impressions/recommendations to help parents advocate and understand their special education rights
